Huge traffic load in and out, but no disk usage...

Hello. In my review of vpsit.com I write about the following problem, and I do not know what i the reason for that huge traffic load. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=722295 ------------ I got a Windows VPS and uploaded my websites (a live backup of my main VPS). After I uploaded the website I had almost no traffic in or out from my VPS for 4 days. After that the traffic went to the roof, and I got 100 GB in and out from my VPS every day for almost 5 days. But there was no new files on the VPS, no traffic from my websites, and no other user, FTP user etc. Where did the traffic come from and where did all the GB coming in to my VPS go? At one day I got 50 GB of incoming traffic, but not a change in disk usage. Was it a DDoS attack? Or what can create a so huge traffic load for so long time? Attachment 13536|Attachment 13537| Attachment 13538 The problem was solved with me activate Windows Firewall and rebooting the VPS.

It was most likely denial of service or a load of port scans/probes.

sounds like dos attack to me, i'd contact them and request proof of the bandwidth usage, if they limit by bandwidth then they are required to provide this.
