MySQL error code: 2006

I update MySQL from version 4 to 5.0.67-community. Now, I often get errors: I think MySQL is not properly configured, but I don't find problem. Below is content of the file - my.cnf. Please see it and compare with yours. Maybe I have low limits into it. Please give me any advice ...

Dear Glostar, For test purposes only, Try edit max_allowed_packet=16M into max_allowed_packet=32M Let me know if this error repeats after this change. Good Luck!

Yes, Please try to increase the max_allowed_packet setting also you can refer to http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/...too-large.html

After I updated my.cnf, I got only 2 errors within 48 hours. This is much better, but not settled the problem. Still I should continue optimization of my.cnf. Please give me any further suggestion Below is new content of my.cnf :

Try increase the timeouts and see how it goes then, that should help with this.

increase the interactive_timeout in my.cnf. This will fix the issue
