Need expert to suggest me; xcache or eaccelerator?

Hello, I have a server and I have several proxies on it together with some of my websites. The thing is sometime it will overload. I was thinking to install xcache or eaccelerator. Can you suggest me which should I install? Which is better? Since there is a lot of experts in WHT, perhaps some of you could suggest to me which should I install. Thanks. Thanks.

Both are good. xcache got some edge over other, from my point. installaing and configuring ea is much simpler than xcache.

Can only speak of EA, but have had exactly zero problems with it, and it really, really helps. Good luck, Joe

Thank you for your reply. Seeing most of the guys on other forums also recommend ea, I have decided to go on with ea as well. Hopefully this would decrease the load on my server. any known bugs?

hmm...changed my mind. Installed xcache and so far didn't notice anything.

XCache has issues with Zend, or did at the last time I checked. EACC hasn't. Personally, I'd use EACC , just because of the maturity of the project.

Some basic benches on a new vBulletin install -> http://secure.admingeekz.com/benchma...celerators.txt To be frank if you are looking at a php accelerator to solve isuses you may be having you are looking in the wrong place. Given the fact you mentioned proxies you are probably using those totally inefficent scripts that the majority of others are using too.

Well, it is true that I have load issues with my server. I suspect because of exploits. I cleaned them up and supposed not to be a problem again. I'm using php accelerator because it might do me good. I'm not really sure whether it could do me any good at all. Yeah, agree on the proxies part, they are part of the problem as well. Thus I'm looking for a way to ease the burden even a bit.
